600 hours later your girl punched out for the last time! (Dec.7th 2023)
My graduation was beautiful. My classmates really showed their appreciation and love for me. I even had the opportunity to graduate with one of my table mates, Liliana. I admire her dedication and determination in this industry. She came from Columbia and is learning the language and culture. She is beautiful inside and out. She and another one of our table mates, Isabel have been teaching each other Spanish and English. Isabel is the baby of the table, she is such a lovely quiet spirit. I help translate certain words or phrases in if they were not able to comprehend. My Spanish has been getting better with their help. Our last table mate, Maria she has been nothing short of a warrior, she and I gotten the closest out the table. I have learned so much from knowing them in this short amount of time.

My classmates age group are from 18 years old to 40+, Iβm one of the oldest ones in the class and naturally became a mother figure of the group. There are 19 of us in the class, full of different backgrounds, personalities, and special talents. There was never a dull moment. Our three instructors Mr. J, Ms. K, and Ms. S have been truly amazing with our educational experience. They definitely had a hands on approach in our learning environment which was not only helpful, it was a great confidence boost whenever we were not sure of ourselves in diving into products or certain services.

Some of the ladies beautified me to the nine for my big day. Maria and Arriya did my glamorous make up, Meagan, my gemini twin of the class did my brow tint and wax. She definitely did an awesome job!

My Husband, son, or family members were not able to attend my graduation, it was a bittersweet moment but I felt their presence and support the whole time. I received flowers on behalf of some of girls and an edible gifts and balloons from my Husband.
Mr. J gave me a heart felt speech about his experience with me and for the class. I was moved and emotional. The moment after his speech and before receiving my diploma I was moved to share a speech of my own. From what my classmates stated I had the whole school in tears. I really wanted everyone to know and feel how much I appreciate and care about them individually. I clocked out for the last time and rang the bell! ποΈ

It has been a long spiritual and personal journey for me to start all over 10 years later and I finally did it. I have my state board exams setup for the next few days. I am nervous π¬ but I know God will see me through it all with my North Carolina Esthetician license. The director of my school offered me an instructor position, Iβll have to take another 600 hour course and state board again, Iβm definitely considering it. She also asked if I could come back and be a guest speaker for the new students and promote my business. God keeps blessing me with all these beautiful gifts and Iβm going to accept them every time. God is so good.
